I coach your student to write their best story. Then, I polish it to stand out in the admission process.
The process is simple and happens quickly.
It begins with the consultation: A 10 minute parent meeting* to discuss expectations and a conversation with the student to discuss their topics, ideas and approach.
If needed, I help the student devise a detailed outline with starter sentences and supporting detail prompts. Then, they do a little writing homework. We revise together. Finally, Bettina polishes the essay.

From A to Z
College essay coaching and editing for the struggling student. I help them find the ideas and help. $25 for consultation. $689 total for the coaching/editing process.
- Virtual consultation with student and parent to review expectations. Pre questions – where are you applying? What are the prompts? When is it due?
- 1st coaching the best ideas. Bettina will email the outline to the student on the same day. Offline: Student uses outline and sentence starters to produce a 1st draft (30 mins)
- 2nd coaching to expand on ideas. Bettina will email the notes and suggestions on the same day. If needed, we can repeat this process two more times within our agreed upon timeline. Offline: Student homework uses the ideas to produce a 2nd draft (30 mins)
- Final submission to Bettina for polishing with a 48-hour business day turnaround.
- This process will address one topic under 700 words.
A Full Polish
College essay coaching and editing or the student who has already written an essay but needs guidance and polishing assistance. Time: $365 total for the coaching/editing process.
- The student’s 2nd draft essay is submitted to Bettina for a review.
- Virtual consultation with student and parent to review expectations.
- Coaching the best ideas. Bettina will email the notes to the student on the same day. Offline: Student uses notes to expand the essay.
- Final submission to Bettina for detailed polishing. Turn around in 48 hours. This process will address one topic and will be less than 700 words
Just a Look – Hourly Rate
Editing for the advanced student who only needs a little polish. Essay is submitted to Bettina. She will look for punctuation and grammar mistakes and make general written recommendations for the students. Turnaround 72 business hours. $85 for 1 hour. This program choice is written correspondence only and does not include a coaching session.
